As grey skies abound and the garden begins to hold a constant squish underfoot it is certainly refreshing to be able to look back on some of the beautiful summer weddings that I’ve had the privilege to photograph over the past year. Frankie and Alex’s has got to be one of the most perfect summer Saturdays we had. And what a wedding. It really was a joy in every way, the most perfectly relaxed, informal and personal day. Tipi weddings are always fun, they’re such beautiful structures for a start, and so easy to make look beautiful, but Frankie and Alex really did such an amazing job. No detail was left out, it was rustic and cosy in equal measure. In fact the whole day had such a garden party feel to it, there was no sit down meal and seating plan, instead there were some very cool vans serving up the most amazing burgers and chips from Steak & Honour, and delicious ice creams from Alder Tree, not to forget the excellent shepherds hut bar named Bertha!
Music was provided by Roscoe who was amazing, the jazz played in the evening was totally brilliant. It was actually pretty difficult to drag myself away, this was a total party in every respect. I could talk more about all the various details but it seems pretty futile when the photos can show for themselves what made up this fantastic day. I think my documentary style shines through, I do love getting up close, I hope it gives the feeling of being a part of the day, rather than just as an outside observer. Enjoy!
