Wow what a fantastic day! I woke up early in the morning to hear the rain drumming down outside the window. I immediately started thinking what a shame it would be not to be able to make the most of the amazing location of Alpheton Hall Barns. As I drove down the A11 the rain was so hard I had my windscreen wipers going full pelt! However, as I got closer the rain eased off and it started to get hot. By the time I got there the sun was out and the day turn into a belter!
I don’t want to go on about it but Alpheton Hall Barns is such an amazing location for a wedding. The colours are fantastic and Simon and Fiona’s wedding was decorated so beautifully with such tasteful and complementary flowers. It really was the most idyllic summer wedding.
Everyone had so much fun with all the outdoor games – reminiscent of the classic village fete – and the amazing ceilidh band really topped it off. Nothing like a good dance to heighten everyone’s spirits.
It might sound cliched but it really is such an honour to be invited to capture such important days, I can never help but feel slightly emotional when the bride and groom say ‘I do’! Maybe it’s just the reminder of my own wedding, I don’t know, but this really is a special vocation!
